Drove into our lane about 5 p.m. on Valentine's Day and saw what first looked like a white grocery bag. I was farther from this vision than this photo shows. I didn't have a camera or binoculars with me but did what Joe is so good to do and that is ask a few questions before coming to a final decision......what a concept! So I said to self: " think where am I and what could I be apt to see here in the wild?" I saw a tiny bit of light brown on the top. and voila......a REAL RABBIT Appeared! |
|
I drove 'delicately' to the cabin and quickly went inside to get my fancy camera and went 'delicately' back up to our gate area to see if Mr. Wabbit was still there! HE WAS! I was so thrilled. I spent about 30 minutes with the window down (fortunately not windy today) and just watched through my zoom lens hoping he would do some posing for me. It was so quiet and beautiful. He sat SO still.......survival for him having no idea the only thing I was going to shoot was a photo of his beautiful self! |
He raised up for a minute . I honked the horn, hollered at him to
scamper about so I could get an action shot...NO LUCK...... this time. Makes
me wonder what he eats.........how has he survived the extremely cold,
windy winter we have been having since the new year? If he can manage,
so can I! I headed back to the cabin, built a fire in the wood stove
and enjoyed the evening of Olympics and old movies with my "Rugged Valentine, Joe" :)
Bloggles the Mind..........Doesn't it!
